Wish he did it on an old 70's, early 80's Ibanez - I like those

Very clever, but will take a few listens to get into

I'm just completely in awe at how someone's mind (and fingers) works to completely & instinctively understand and utilise scales with such discipline.  Hell, I've never even heard of most of these scales. I'm purely a self taught player with no musical training and I wouldn't know a Lydian from a Phrygian nor a major from an Enigmatic or minor pentatonic. I probably play and improvise using some of this stuff in there but with no conscious clue that what I'm playing is using some of these scale structures.
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

I admire the knowledge and practice behind so many different scales. But my ears can't help but think with many of the "obscure" scales that they sound awful. Some of it sounds like me when I'm trying to not hit the wrong note.

Wait... is that what Jazz is? Maybe I'm smarter than I thought ;) :D

Very skillful but doesn't flow at all to my ears.

    Things things spring to mind.
As an intellectual exercise it's very cool
As a piece of music it's sounds very contrived
I hate the sound of whole tone.

I don't think the intention was to create an interesting piece of music. With 45 different flavours, it would be very difficult. The idea was to show us the scales we didn't even know existed and perhaps inspire us to investigate further...

    Two things.

The shittest guitar sound in the history of guitar sound.

    Pointless, emotionless wank.

I do agree about the sound.

As for "emotionless wank", I think he was just trying to show the flavour of the scales. The guy is an instructor, and I think he did a good job. It certainly made me check out some of those exotic scales...

It sounded just like Santana's tone to me
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Doesn't sound like Carlos to me, at least not in his heyday eg take this definitive version of "Europa"...

I remember listening to this broadcast live on the radio at the time, I didn't think I would ever hear anything better, I'm not sure if I have.
