Hi everyone

Just to let you know, we are hosting an evening with Eastman guitars on the 26th September. Eastman will be showing off a huge selection of their guitars including acoustics and the new solid bodies.

Places are limited, so if you are interested, please give Neil a call on 0161 436 4799 to book a place. Tickets are completely free and there will be a raffle to win an Eastman ACDR-2 acoustic worth £575!

The guitars will be demonstrated by session guitarist Evert Zeelalkink, a brilliant guitarist who specialises in looper compositions.

Should be a great night!

I've played a few of the Eastman range and have concluded they are very well made for the price. I tried the "335" which was a nice sounding guitar, the SB59 with the Duncan '59's and the same model with the violin finish and the antiquities. They are going to make great gigging guitars and when there are more available, a used bargain.

They don't feel like they are far eastern made at all and for some reason, it doesn't matter how good a guitar is, I can normally always tell (maybe it's a placebo effect?). I will say though that they lack the balls and harmonics of the guitars they are trying to emulate and thus will never be a proper replacement IMO.

  • I have had a few Eastman guitars.I currently own a Eastman E10 Parlour. They are not on par with some of the well known top makes IMHO.However they are considerably cheaper both new and S/H.So well worth trying and S/H even more so.
The Parlour guitar I have has saved me many times from the temptation of replacing it with a Martin.
