What happens when you die ??

Not even black.  Because that would imply you're seeing blackness.
since the conscious and unconscious mind seem to be the result of the physical brain, clearly when the physical brain is no longer functioning, nor is the mind.
"soul" is just a thing humans invented to describe themselves since we have a very convincing illusion that we are actually separate from our brains.  Observation and experimentation shows otherwise.

You live on in the mind and memory of those you knew and loved. Once all those you knew are dead, most of us apart from the well known are just a name on a census or certificate, a story or anecdote passed on to a descendent, eventually to be completely forgotten.  That's cheered me up
