NGD - what happens when you cross a strat with a LPJ

So this is a project that was brewing in my fevered imagination for a while.

Korina body flat top LP outline mashed with a 25.5" scale and 3 P90s wired strat fashion to a 5-way switch. And a mini toggle to switch in the neck P90 so I can get bridge/neck together (aka 'Gilmour' mod). And a trem for that gentle wibbleness.

I always loved the look of the Aldo Nova LP with the Explorer headstock,

and then Gibson brought out a custom shop 3PU korina LP with the most deranged combo of knobs/selector switch to ever grace a LP - I kinda got seduced by the oddball look...

It's everything I hoped it would be - spanky to the max and it barks and growls just like a Jr ought...

i like it, apart from the pickup switch which would annoy me

There is a lot going on there but it works better than I would expect.   With the switch the other way and no middle pickup I would really like it

I guess if Gibson had decided to do a strat equivalent in the late fifties it could have been that ( maybe not the headstock). Gets a Wow!
