I have owned this for awhile and this is easily the gainiest Dual Rectifier I have owned or heard.
I have owned other two channel rectifiers including a Rev F and I have also played various other dual recs including other Trem o verbs and this Trem o Verb ate them all for Lunch when it came to available gain. I sold the others and kept this one.
I have read on numerous occasion that people have commented that the Trem O verb has less gain than other Dual Recs and I believe that is probably true of some individual amps as I have heard others that paled by comparison but I can assure it is NOT the case with this one that it has less gain .this one is a Monster...
I have a feeling the Mesa amps can vary a LOT just like older marshalls.
I believe this is quite an Early Trem O Verb the serial number is 2727.
It has boogie Shock mounts for the chassis and is fitted with boogie Trak lok system although I do not have the casters but casters are easily and cheaply obtainable.
The preamp tubes are all mesa except for 1 Sovtek LPS
The power tubes are if remember correctly shuguang and are the same as STR420
The Rectifier tubes are TAD.
The Amp will work with 6L6 or EL34 or 5881 and has a bias select switch
Everything works perfectly on the Amp and has been thoroughly tested prior to listing.
The reverb works and the trem and loop select and channel cloning and channel select as does Spongy and bold selection and rectifier selection.
The speakers are V30
Pick up only no Shipping.
I will be willing to travel if a buyer wishes to meet to pick up the amp provided something can be worked out for petrol money.
I live in south wales and the amp is available for anyone to test play it but that would need to be arranged to suit my working hours.
