So, I got a Country Club a couple of weeks ago and was so taken with it I fancied another Gretsch so here is something you may have seen in one of Brizes recent, various and staggeringly impressive 'for sale' threads -
Its a Gretsch Penguin in 'Midnight Sapphire' finish, which you may notice is a very dark subtly metallic blue - it looks pretty much black in a lot of lights. Plays great, really like the TV Jones Classics in this, really pleased. Would like a Black Falcon now (yes, I know I just missed a really nice one) and Im done.

By far and away the guitar that garnered the most interest. I'm sad to part with it but glad it's gone to a good home.

@mburekenge @Whitecat ;;Here's new a picture in a better light for those interested. Very impressed with this guitar, and by gosh it is handsome, reminds me of a naval officers mess jacket -

  • You can see why Gretsch were considered the Cadillac of the guitar world.

  • That sapphire blue Penguin looks amazing. Mordaunt Short speakers too? Nice. If you decide that green Country Club isn't for you, I've got a double cut 2015 Gretsch G6134TDC-LTD15 Jade Penguin you might like. Cheers.

  • Gretsch's were described to me as "pretty guitars".

    Seems fitting.

That level of bling on a Fender is wrong, but on a Gretsch it just works. Lovely guitar.
