The BED..Catalinbred Belle Epoche deluxe..should I...?

Really wanting to crack the delay pedal choice.
Owned a few and now starting again.
Don't want loads of options and menu choices.
Love the sounds from the BED but can it be tamed and be flexible enough? 
Love the Empress Echosystem too. Lots of options here. 
I can't buy both and this one will be for keeps!
Any advice or experience of these two appreciated.

Have you tried the BOSS RE20?
The footprint is big but it sounds great, has bass and treble roll off and I prefer it to the Belle Epoch.

Yeah the re20 space echo sounds a LOT nicer than the Belle Epoch imo.

Oh the BED ( slightly different kettle of fish to the standard BE) looks good ( and sounds good too based on the PGS demo). Bloody expensive though. Versatile (ish - it's based on a singular voicing) but no presets doesn't make it the best for live performance maybe. 
Instantly sold out the first run apparently so you can't get one for a few weeks now anyway. 
I think if you want 'a delay' then maybe it has more than you need, if you want something to sonically manipulate then the BED is that kind of choice. 
The Echo System is even more expensive, I haven't even bothered with the YouTube demoes because that's never going to happen for me.
