Hi all
The band im in at the moment requires a killswitch for a few of the songs, however i dont want to cut a hole in my baby below to fit one. Does anyone know where i can get a push to break foot switch ( cant find one anywhere ) as i was going to make killswitch pedal instead.
Thanks in advance

Use a push to make so when engaged it shorts hot to ground, simple as that

Also the correct way of doing it :).

A push to break will cause quite a lot of hum instead of silence when engaged.

To help your searching, push to make is more commonly know as NO (Normally Open), and push to break NC (Normally Closed).

You can get industrial pedals for not that much money, but longevity of the switches may be a problem, as only switching relatively small currents can cause the contacts to oxidise (switch/relay contacts rely on arcing to clean the contacts).
RS have a reasonable selection - http://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/switches/foot-switches-accessories/foot-switches/?searchTerm=normally open foot switch&sort-by=P_breakPrice1&sort-order=asc

Pretty sure you can do this with a Boss FS5U and a TRS to two TS cable.
