Paul Weller ... again ... but then he played Wild Wood and I thought Steve Cradock's guitar work was just beautiful.
Pretty good show so far.

Great to see KT Tunstall do Cherry Tree on the looper again,  her first appearance doing it on Jools was a real showstopper.
I don't like Van Morrison but quite enjoyed his set. Same for Dizzee Rascal, not my thing but I appreciate how tight his rapping is and found it impressive.

  • Saw bits last night, watching bits this morning. I hadn't realised Songhoy Blues were on so that's been a pleasant surprise. Watching it on the iPlayer means I can skip the Foo Fighters
KT Tunstall is interviewed on Mary Spender's YouTube channel this week, BTW. She's rather good on this Later.

I thought Paul Weller was terrific, some gorgeous slide.

Not a fan of the Foo Fighters.

Enjoyed the African band (didn't catch the name).

Worth watching the sweary girl in the blue dungarees, volume optional.

Anyone else get annoyed by Gregory Porter's hat? I think he said it's a mental thing, some sort of talisman or security blanket, but it makes him look a complete div.

He has facial scarring and started to wear it to hide that and it's just his thing now. I just think he looks uncomfortably sweaty.

  • Van Morrison was dull as ever, the singer with him was good but why was he reading the lyrics?!?!

    Foos were standard ie: awesome.

KT Tunstall made me have naughty thoughts.

Chris Farlowe (the other singer) is in his late seventies......I'd struggle to remember Van Morrison's lyrics right now... ;)

Plus (other than Gloria) they were all new songs so probably need little nudges on lyrics!

    New songs....???
I suppose technically that's true, but they sounded a hell of a lot like the vast majority of his back catalogue.
