A really nice lightweight Les Paul that I picked up from here and have been really happy with until I picked up a couple of new guitars this week.

My guitar loyalty/attention span is such that automatically the 2 new guitars are of course the best guitars I've ever had - until the next one comes along.

It is mate yes , there's another model called the super circuit I believe that has out of phase options - this is the standard one

Does this have the coil taps? I gather there were two versions of this - basically the same but one with the more complex wiring, one without. 

Some extremely glowing reviews of these guitars on line, stuff like ' better than my $2K Les Paul.'

Blame Dottore Mono - if he didn't sell me that Yamaha I would have no plans to sell this :-)

Honestly better than any LP I've had although I've never had a custom shop jobbie.

Eric , that's the super circuit version you are thinking of - it's got coil taps and some sort of out of phase thing too. This is the standard wiring one.

Is it Solid maple top or veneer?

Hi Tone , I have a feeling it's a very thin cap , I'm not sure where a thin cap becomes a veneer though so I may be wrong !

Sorry , not a bump as such but I've found the original spec list -

-Flame maple top with mahogany back.

-Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard.

-Long tenon set neck.

-Gold Grover tuners.

-Comes with standard wiring (not super-circuit)

-Seymour Duncan 59 in neck.

-Seymour Duncan SH5 Custom in bridge.
