I wasn't even alive when he was around but I've become a really big fan in the last couple of years.

Saw him twice in 1992 when he toured Brittain. I travelled to Burslem near Stoke and Sheffield - the Manchester date was sold out. He was an amazing performer. That said, I'm old and a parent now and find his promotion of drug use wildly irresponsible with the benefit of hindsight. A great talent, even if I don't necessarily agree with everything he stood for. But unlike the Michael McIntyres of this world, he DID stand for something....

Total god amongst men I never got the chance to see him as I was 14 when he died. There was very little he said I ever really disagreed with.

Watched a few of his vids last summer after seeing him on TV first time around.

The vid of one of his last LA gigs is near perfect.

I know what he'd have made of Cameron: " Cameron sucks Satan's cock".
