This has the wraparound/trapeze, but you can see where it's had another one fitted at some point

my only one at the moment is a mid 50's framusish thing

Its had a new fretboard, and neck reset - the original board was braz rw but too thin to save and had horrible inlays.  Its also got a new bridge and pickup.   I  made pearloid guard to match the headplate but have never got around to fitting it

The closest i can find is a framus 5/57 Tango

I  also have a old hofner thinlinebody and some gretsch plates for future projects

1959 Guild X50. The P90(esque) pickup sounds glorious though a Memory Man with a hint of drive.

Woah, there’s some lovely purvy stuff on this thread.  @ESchap I’m looking at that 175 CC the way a man shouldn’t look at another’s guitar.

My Metheny guitar is now 21, so that will be classed as vintage soon enough.

@ESchap That 1955 Hofner Committee brings back some memories. The singer in my first band had one as beautiful as that, though possibly a little later as it had Hofner on the headstock. It used to generate some lovely warm rhythm sounds through its floating pickup and it was wonderful acoustically as well. But the times when we let it loose through his cranked Pro Reverb were positively unhinged, with a ragged, chaotic, garage blues howl and a wall of feedback that even Neil Young couldn't climb. Loved it.

    That’s a lovely guitar - I’m a big fan of Guild 12 strings.
