pah 12's are nothing lol,  marc at mojo pickups uses 13's now that's too manly for me but they did sound great on a lp with bigsby,  I've got to put a tele together for him with 13's and standard bloody tuning, use whatever your comfortable with as that's what matters
Do 13s cause a lot more pressure on the neck? I'm tempted to move up to them in standard but not sure whether it's wise.
I have to set the neck up specifically for these inc the nut and the same will happen when i put his tele together,  we're making a neck for it so i know how good it'll be

Obviously i can't use them, i can't be bothered with 11's these days but for chord stuff it sounded just fantastic on a lp i made for him, it's his fault i wanted a bigsby

Similar to a plain G, but wound... heheheheh.

D’addario do wound third sets. Strings direct have them atleast.
    11-49 with a wound g which is .21.

    A standard d string off a .09 set is .24.

So possibly given the fact its slimmer but tuned higher in pitch, could be a fairly accurate comparison? I’m not sure though.

I only used a wound g once, when I tuned an Esp with a floyd to drop C.
A plain g of .20 or something just didnt work. Sounded dead, didnt ring at all, more a horrible oscillating. Apparantly it was the plain g at that pitch over that scale length that caused the trouble, and the cure was a wrapped G.

The only easy day, was yesterday...

I use beefy slinkies but with a 0.020 g string. The 0.022 that comes with that set is ridiculous. I play in drop c#
