Here's another of my son's guitars up for sale.

This one is a highly modified Jackson Professional from their golden era (circa 1992). As you'll see from the pictures, it's been refinished in a very cool turquoisy shade of metallic blue/green. I've no idea what colour the guitar would have been originally, but it looks great now. As the light catches it you can see where the neck and middle pickup cavity of the original HSH layout has been filled and the respray settled. Checking old catalogues, my conclusion is that that this started out as a Fusion SX from 1992.

I've had quite a few of these early 90s Jacksons over the years, and they're just great guitars. In recent years the Japanese Charvels seem to have returned to favour but as someone who grew up on the Jackson siblings I encourage any superstrat players to give them a go.

Due to the refinish, this one is still in superb condition given its 25 year vintage. However, it's not a 'all original' example, and as already stated, 2 of the pickup cavities have been filled and the remaining bridge pickup has been upgraded with a high output Seymour Duncan Invader. The paint job isn't perfect but it is pretty good. The bridge appears to be original (with a replacement trem arm), but the rear cavity covers are also replacements. The locking nut and tuners also appear to be original. The tip of the headstock has suffered slight damage but still looks almost totally in tact from the front and generally the whole guitar is in great condition. The strings desperately need changing, not due to neglect, but because my son's room suffers with some damp/condensation and this eats strings in no time.

The guitar comes with a hard case, this is covered with a variety of stickers - mainly to hide some scuffs and wear that was present when he bought he.

Price... £150 plus P&P or collected from Nottingham
This is quite tricky: the resurgence in interest in Japanese Jacksons/Charvels is pushing prices up and while the modifications to this one may put some people off, others may find it a more appealing guitar as a result. So, he's asking a very reasonable £150 in the hope of a quick sale.

Any questions please ask.
It's now official - I hate photobucket (I know, you all came to that conclusion long ago...) - if you'd like more pictures please PM me or see the Gumtree ad here: https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/fs-jackson-professional-fusion-guitar-made-in-japan-1992/1272933589
