Budget octave-down pedals?

It would be to my advantage to have a smallish, battery-operated octave-down pedal for Cello Club.

What's good? Battery operated is essential.

To what note do you need it to track? Do you want a digital or analogue sound? If you can get a s/h digitech BSW before the price gets any higher they have a good sounding and good tracking octave, down to I think the low F# on a bass or thereabouts.

Lowest note on a cello is the C below bottom E on a guitar, so the same as the C on the 3rd fret of the A string on a bass.

I'd like it to still sound like a cello. So probably digital, though that probably rules out battery operation. I could carry a decent capacity rechargeable though...

This might work for you Andi and it's a new product.

It's based on a Boss OC-2 and Andertons reckon they'll have them in by next week.

The dry signal will be helpful, too and it can work off a 9V

The Mooer Tender Octave (mini) is v.good but can only work off a 9V power supply.

Could you knock up a Pearl Octaver clone? They track very well and don't sound crap/lag like digital ones.

Madbean have an octaver project- based on the Pearl Octaver and the Foxrox Octron.
