Strymon multiswitch

I'm new to looping and have been looking at looper pedals but then I suddenly remembered that my Timeline has a built in looper DOH! So I then looked at the Strymon multi switch. Can anybody tell me, if when the multi switch is connected to control the timeline can I still change delays / presets on the timeline etc from a midi controller whilst looping - in my case an ES 5?
