    Probably the only way they could make Liam sound in tune...

    I remember reading an interview with Dimebag where he said he took it down half a step then just a "ballhair" more to make it heavier. 

    What about stuff like Iron Man though where half the song is out and half isnt, thats a total PITA.

    What about tuning a half step down? Guns n roses possibly the best known proponent of this. The whole of appetite is tuned down.

    Not sure why they did it. Maybe to make those bends a little easier? Maybe for a more unique sound. I doubt it was due to axl's vocal range!

    Just sounds cooler. That's why I do it anyway.
