Perhaps a little harsh for me to say it so bluntly... but it did look like it had been used for target practice.

Thank you, we’ve been doing plenty of NOS stuff but 95% of our orders are for aged bodies or necks. We’re just doing what we’re told of course

Just assistance with prepping, stripping refinishes and paperwork. 

The finishing, ageing, minor woodworking, photography, emails, quotes and internet presence is just me.

Seriously tempted to get my Strat body refinished in gold to match my SA2000S an my Jazzmaster.

Of course, then I'd need to get my Tele refinished as well...

Robin that shoreline gold is so tasty, if you’re strat or tele has a rosewood neck it’s a beautiful match.

A nod to Gary... the customer asked for us to do a GM fiesta red body to look as it might have done 10 years before the heavy wear went on. I think it came out nicely

It's just the perfect amount of wear. Gonna look amazing with worn rosewood neck. All your works amazing but I really like this one. Awesome!

Fender do a lot of things well... but their CS relic necks? No. Caked with thick lacquer and aged to a “ive smoked 100 a day for 40 years” grey stain. Odd.

You can see here how thick their finish was compared to mine. Note the lip on the edge of their lacquer running between the front screw holes. Crazy. Might as well be urethane (I’d say it could be!)

This neck came in for a refinish along with the body which was also painted thick with a sunburst finish. We’ve stripped both the body and neck and refinished the body in a 3 tone burst with aged sea foam green over the top. Although I can see the body finish will be marmite for you guys hopefully you can agree that the neck looks a lot better.

Thank you, I never know how these Colour over sunburst finishes will be received. They usually look awesome but there is a bit of work involved. Perhaps I should do one or two for stock

Hey Toby, this actually shipped this morning. Tbh, I think I’d go parchment if it wasn’t tort. We’ll get the burst on the body then look at colours again if you want?
