Andertons Black Friday sale on now...

...and for those of us that are interested in their old stock and stuff that isn't shifting, because it was overpriced in the first place, quite like the onset of Black Friday because prices come down to something more reasonable. There's loads of good stuff out there. The S2 Vela Satin being a case in point - only £50 more than the standard Vela when it was on sale and that was an excellent price itself. If you've been waiting for Electro Faustus stuff to get cheap, you're in luck. That Ibanez Roadcore is brilliant value at just over £200. 

I guess it depends what you want, but imho there's plenty of stuff to get one's teeth into.

Why would they heavily discount big sellers in the lead up to the busiest trading period of the year? It’s all very well complaining about retailers having rubbish sales, but if you were in their position, why would you throw away profit for the sake of it haha. 

Suspect a lot of people are going to blow their wads today/this weekend and then tighten the belt in December. It depends if retailers want a piece of that action or not. 

I know I won’t be buying any MI stuff next month, but I have sprung for a couple bits today. 

This won’t be true for all retail categories obviously. But specialist niche stuff is going to be a little more sensitive.

I saw a lovely guitar in my local emporium that I was interested in on Saturday. It was only on the off chance I was in there as I had no intention of buying anything. Made some enquires about a commission sale of one of mine, or possibly a px for aforementioned geetar,  but didn't have mine with me obviously. Took my number to speak to me on Monday (today) and I also emailed photos of mine on Sunday. Emailed me today to say blackfriday deals were over and it had gone up £300, but would do me a deal and only charge me an extra £200. And no px.

Well, in fairness, the sale was for the particular day(s).
But it's up to the customer & store whether they wish to negotiate.
Me - I didn't buy anything.

(I did notice that Tesco chilled smoothies have gone up by 1/3rd, though! The cartons were 1l for £1.50 and they've replaced them with 75cl plastic bottles for £1.50.)

Should do shouldn't I. I suspect some of the staff are probably on here so don't want to get into a ruck. It's a shop I generally avoid though, so that'll teach me for browsing anywhere other than online.
