I know these are hybrid, but with a valve output stage, does this mean this amp could handle a Big Muff and Fuzzes on a clean setting (on either channel) without the solid state squash of dynamics ie more like an all valve amp? I assume the output transformer isn't great on these? I'm wondering if a fuzz on the digital 2nd channel will play havoc. Any owners/users with thoughts?

nothing mixes well with the modelled channel ....not even the built in effects but the clean valve derives channel is really superb ......great amp and will take pedals nicely
I had the combo and upgraded the speaker to a rain Cajun - it was great

I thought the "preamp" valve was actually a "between preamp and power amp" valve so the clean is not actually technically valve?

The 12ax7 is a phase inverter, yes, not a preamp valve. But the output power is a pair or valves. This is why I was wondering if it can handle a fuzz pedal without the 'squish', like most valve amps.
