Edit: sold for the asking.

This is the Taylor T3b I purchased after hunting for a 335 to match the sound of my mates ‘64, this wildcard (‘go on then I’ll try that one too’ moment) hit that tone straight away, despite being a vastly different instrument!

It has a mahogany body with maple cap, as far I’m aware the body is a thinline in the tele routed-out style rather than the Gibson plywood style. Certainly there that hollow warmth to the sound without the full on depth my gretsch has. Really nice flamed honey burst top that’s a lot less garish than some of the t3 offerings Taylor put out. Ebony fretboard on a mahogany neck with what feels to me like a modern c neck. It’s got the lower output vintage voiced pickups that Taylor offer, rather than the high output ones they also do. Sounds classic 335 with shades of Gretsch articulation. It’s got a lovely note for note seperation that tele and jazzmaster players in particular will appreciate.

Bigsby b70 (which works perfectly so despite my original plan to swap for a b7 has stayed put). Switching is the usual three-way with volume and tone. These are push pull pots and offer split humbuckers and an alternate tone sweep that’s a bit like a cocked wah. The split sound on these works particularly well in a band mix and with a bit of slap back delay is very straty.

One ever so slight ding on the back and a scratch on the bottom that I’ve tried to show in the following pics.

Apologies for the crappy iPhone pics, this winter lighting really isn’t conducive to guitar photos but build quality is typical Taylor and fantastic qc throughout.

I am happy to post at buyers expense. Case obviously included as is case candy and Taylor truss rod wrench. Would prefer a face to face exchange if possible (wouldn’t we all), located in north Northants just off the a14 if you fancy a drive -and I am happy to drive a sensible amount to meet too. £1050.

Mate, I bet you are responsible for more gas and probably more ‘flipping heck he’s done it again’ moments than anyone else on this forum. Keep on shopping I say, even if only for the entertainment and lovely ngd pics!

These are ridiculously underrated guitars and I think your price is more than fair. Good luck, someone will be happy!

Cheers whitecat I fully agree and to be honest if it doesn’t sell I’m not going to lose sleep, it is only up in a nod to warding off my latest bout of perpetual gas. :)

Too many nice guitars and encouragement. ;)

All three of us are gas addicts and facilitators.

I’m not although a swap shop section would probably get me there... not sure if it would count if it was just us two taking part?

Left field choice of guitar, not so much underrated as mis-understood by some..........they are a joy to play ;really easy, hugely versatile and quite superbly made .........I think a lot of people confuse them with the T5 which is a very different animal but still an amazingly clever and great sounding tool.
It took you by surprise ....when you bought it and others would be surprised too .GLWTS

Cheers Dominic, it is indeed one of those surprise guitars -I’m kind of hoping I can trade my Martin and keep this if I’m honest...it is too good a guitar to let go.
