Tickets... Without the parasites!

Had a stark choice this morning. Do battle with the parasitic wankers that Hoover up all the tickets and then sell them on at 400% profit (Pearl Jam tickets for London) or sack that off and go to a more local gig for a great, fun and innovative performance. Two tickets bought for me and Mrs Returns to see Walk off the earth do their thing in Leeds. £46 all in. Can't argue with that and it'll be fun!

I'm not talking to you. Bastard.

In fairness, I'm still on a supply contract so as well as tickets, travel and hotels I'd have lost 2 days wages. I've seen them 9 times so I wasn't desperate.

There's tickets available as I type on Amazon tickets at face value if anyone needs them

Thanks, but even being conservative I think this would cost me £500. I think not.

    Yep, sounds about right.

Bought 2 tickets yesterday for Lamont Dozier & it was £3.25 ‘service charge’ per ticket...so £6.50. Bastards!

I've never understood service charge on a gig ticket, surely the price you pay for the ticket is the service charge. If you buy a loaf of bread you don't pay a shelf charge, you just pay for the bread.

I'm not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.

  • Even worse paying a delivery charge to get something sent to your phone. Me and the missus have near enough seen every band we want to and avoid the parasites - grrr! :/ Instead we take a chance at last minute tickets on eBay around (or below) face value from somebody who can't go. Or dropped their price last-minute when they can't make a profit on them. Having a motorbike and being able to collect anywhere in London quickly helps.

What pisses me off is having to pay a 'booking charge' when you walk into the booking office with cash! Rock City in Nottingham did that last time I bought Matt Schofield tickets. Bastards.

Robert Plant tonight at the RAH, normal price tickets bought from the box office.  Easy.
