    I love my pillar drill. You need one with enough reach though. I used to use my dads one, but it couldn't do trem posts - too far in

    You can do it without a pillar drill. The guitar body is wedge shaped, which is why the drill is not vertical in the picture.

    Presumably then with a pillar drill you would use some sort of counter wedge to get the angles right?
