Another vote for a dual output single coil pickup.

The Oil City Wapping Wharf has already been suggested. I use a Seymour Duncan '53 Tapped Tele Lead. Same basic idea. The ⅔ output is traditional Fifties Tele. Full output makes for a juicy Esquire, bordering on P90 beefiness.

This accounts for two positions on the lever selector switch. That just leaves you to decide what to do with the third position. Muffled "bass" tone, Eldred, Direct to jack?
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

I have a single pickup tele with an MIM Standard body and Baja maple neck. I just went for the no pickup selector option with  Dimarzio Pre B1 at the bridge. Got a nice thick single ply black pickguard from a seller called Guitars Electric on Ebay.
Was the pickguard a good fit? Holes line up properly etc? Thanks.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it
