Now then,

This is a 2005/6 model Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster. It’s in immaculate condition, there isn’t a mark on it. As such, it makes me worried taking it out as I don’t want to put the first mark on it!

The colour is honey blonde and it originally came with a bronze scratch plate (which I still have). It got replaced with a nice 3 ply white one. Maple neck with Abalone inlays.

The pickups are Fender SCN (Samarium Cobalt Noiseless) which I believe they only tend to put on some custom shop models now. It has S1 switching along with the other Deluxe appointments like locking tuners, original G&G case.

I’ve only gigged it a couple of times as I’ve wanted to keep it in this condition.

It really is a great example of a Strat and I’m not massively bothered if I end up keeping it. If I do, it’ll be a conscious decision to start gigging it properly instead of it being a case queen. It’s actually the exact sort guitar I need for one of the bands I play in but I’m a bit of a traditionalist.

Trade wise, I’d be looking for another Strat. Preferably an AVRI with a Rosewood board. I will also entertain Telecaster trades… although I’ve already got a few so it would need to be something special to replace the Strat shaped gap this will leave.
