Just looking through my old emails reminded me of my first forage into selling Music
online my very first item was King Kurt Zulu Beat which I had picked up from a
market stall holder just after a record dealer had cherry picked the best stuff out
...or so he thought .I picked it out because it was on yellow vinyl and had a very
snazzy case for a single .When I got home I decided to put it on Ebay as a
friend said now I had the internet I should use it.After placing my pic and ad
I quickly received a flurry of emails inquiring about the record and when the
Auction ended I had received a princely sum of £77.00 for 50p.Realising
there were quite a few King Kurt fans lurking around ebay I decided to
put an invisible record up for sale I did get a few bids but only got just over
a quid.I have sold lots of records since but have bought far more than I
have sold. The only record I regret selling is a mono recording of Folsom
Prison by Johnny Cash it knocks the stereo version out of the water for
some strange reason.
