Doesn't matter if older kit I can only get S/H or newer.

I have a schennheiser Freeport which i got s/h but with my 335 copy even with underwound PAF copies the clip light on receiver shows up at much lower volume than guitar into amp modeller.  Probs under half the volume which means none of presets i make work properly as modelled amps react properly in relation to input volume.

Any units you can recommend that work well and don't have any issues producing same output levels of a very dynamic guitar itself.

Thanks

On a budget the line6 g30 is fine.
The smoothhound Classic is great but only comes a bug rather than a belt pack version, if you can cope with that it’s great.
The more upmarket sennheisers are good of you want to spent a bit more.

Line 6 G30 is very good.
    I've used one for years.
Noticed one in the classifieds the other day.

Line6 G10 user here, it works perfectly with dynamic use of the guitar volume knob, and it charges on its own docking station, so no batteries to bother with.

I've been using the Xvive U2 for a few months now and it's working really well for me.
One day I'm going to make a guitar out of butter to experience just how well it actually plays.

I bought an Xvive U2 a couple of months ago on the recommendation of a bandmate. I've had no problems at all so far and comparing it to a guitar lead, I can't hear any difference. Nice and compact, rechargeable and simple to set up.

  • I very nearly bought the Xvive system as it seemed simple, cheap and effective. From the reviews I read at the time the only problem seemed to be that it could throw a wobbly with high output/ active pickups. Not that I own anything that fits that description.
Anyway, I got a used Smooth Hound which seems fine. I'd rather have a bug than one on a strap, I think.

  • I've got the Line 6 G50 so if you can afford it get one, they're pretty good and reliable, not had many (if any) issues with mine and I've had it for 4 years.

I think the Shure LXG something is also good for a similar price range. Also has a tuner on the receiver which is always an added touch.

I dropped my line6 g50 and went for a smoothhound.

Great product and great customer service!
