1979 Fender Telecaster in good working condition with a (non-original) tweed G & G case.
The condition is good - though there is wear as you'd expect from a near 40 year old guitar. There are some light scratches on the back of the guitar (tried to picture) and some missing paint. The guitar has also had its cavities shielded with graphite paint.
The guitar is all original - apart from the electronics which have been replaced with top-notch parts (CTS pots, switchcraft jack etc.) and the pickups have been replaced with Bare Knuckle Flat 50s. The original wiring and pickups are included - though they had gone slightly microphonic, which is why I replaced them.
Note that the serial code on the headstock is 78, but the pots date to the 20th weeks of 1979. Hence the listing as a 1979.
The guitar plays really nicely and has just had a set up with 10s. The flat 50s are based on a broadcaster so it's a beast of a guitar that sounds great. Plenty of life left in the frets too.
Best of all it weighs in at a very decent 8 and a half pounds so isn't a boat anchor like some from the era.
