Dunno if this has been done before, but what the hey.  Inspired by a discussion on another thread, let's see your vintage and, yes, Spitfire tort.

I'll start the porn with my own true Jazzmaster.

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I am really surprised you dont know OSG if you play a Jazzmaster with a spitfire tort.
    Its almost law over there.

Its an alright forum and usually the best place to go for all things offset (shortscale.org isn't bad either)

I’m a newbie on here. New to all the bright shiny world of guitar forums (fora?). These vistas you conjure are both exciting, and unnerving.., :D

(in truth joined up here to flog my crap. Then found you can check out any time, but you can never leave...)

The chap that makes it seems to have found the holy grail of old looking nitrocellulose Tort pickguards.

  • Ok, let's try this again:

According to Mr Spitfire himself, the scratchplate on mine was his fourth one. It's a bit thicker than what he does now, but in the flesh, it looks like you could dive into it.
