Hold my breath, close my eyes, cross my fingers and wish really hard that time would skip to the 28th.

Slightly pissed. Just finished wrapping the kids presents. Hope I haven't got any mixed up.... Soon find out and even then I'll blame mr. San Miguel.

I got in trouble tonight for 'jokingly' suggesting that presents wait until 12ish after we have both had separate lie ins..

   Me: can I help you with that?" 
   Her: well, I wish somebody would!"
   Me: " Right, I'll just put this here......"
   Her : "Don't put it there! "
   Me :Well, where do you want me to put it?"
   Her: "I haven't got time to organise you and everything else,....... "
   Me: "Everything's fine, it's just a simple roast dinner ( which I'm cooking ) It'll all be over in a few short hours, just try and relax a little bit."
  Her: **** ***  you condescending *****, If your ******* mother makes one comment about etc
 Time passes......

 
 
  Her:  "well , what do you think?"
  Me:   "Lovely dear, everything looks great, very christmasy !"

Waiting for my mother or mother in law (depending who we're visiting) to "cancel" Christmas as things aren't going to be done in time due to "lack of help around here" (we offer help, bring food etc... But do it "wrong") so my tradition is to get a long run in. 

It's not Christmas without MrsLostSon promising that "next year we'll do Christmas just us & the girls". We never do.

This is the first year in since time immemorial that my wife hasn't been stressed and lost it.. with the amount she has on its the first year that I'd understand Getting my mother out the way early helped I think..

Not sure about Christmas Eve but we always have steak pie on boxing Day

I planned an evening of films, then realised I hadn't wrapped any presents.
Better than the previous years when I realised at 6am Christmas morning.

Hahaha! Wife took ages getting ready, baby has lost it and needs nap. I'm going for a nap too, presents will be done when baby wakes up.. at 12ish
