Pedal builders - how are you managing offboard connections in breadboard prototyping?

I'm getting into building basic pedals on a breadboard, and am pondering how to mount the jack sockets and pots onto something to avoid trailing wires and alligator clips. Alas I can't get hold of a Beavis board and am now thinking what would be a good way to mount, say, 4 pots, an input and output socket, and a 3PDT switch to connect to the breadboard.

Not quite that simple... you get to build the tester first!... once it’s built take your in and out from the bread board or circuit you are building and plug guitar and amp into the tester... 

its basically the switchy/input parts of an effect pedal...

Well, I should be able to solder that bad boy. I guess it comes with all parts including LED and stuff.

Now to solve the pots problem.

I'd guess somebody will probably make adapter boards, so you can fit pots into a breadboard, but how about you just make up a little mounting plate/stand to take a couple pots/jack sockets that sits on your workbench/table, then solder jumper wires on that you can then just push into where's needed on the breadboard?

@poopot ; I'm not sure how those connections work. There are 2 blocks and a centre SIL socket thingy. How do you connect to that?

One block is circuit in/out the other is v+/gnd.
the six way in the middle is for use with his own six way ribbon he uses on his kits - direct connect he calls it. 

Unless you build one of his pcbs just use the two blocks.

I've never seen a fuzzdog kit in real life, but looking at his DirectConnect setup, I think you'd be able to use standard male jumper wires into the Direct Connect connector, so you wouldn't even have to use the terminal blocks, although they'd could be handy for connecting power.

The direct connect is:
jack in - circuit in - v+ - gnd - circuit out - jack out

left to right as you look at it...

And now I'm wondering if I could make my own setup using vero board, 2 jack sockets and a 3PDT switch like this https://www.bitsbox.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=882 - because I don't need a stomp switch. Also I could mount some pots to the vero.

I'm aware of that. What I meant was you could probably fit male jumper wires directly in the connector. Ahh... didn’t read it properly... the night nurse has kicked in!... not sure the holes in the connector are as big as the jumper holes on a breadboard tho’ 

His direct conect stuff is useful for really neat builds tho’
