I fancy putting a carbon fibre wrap on the top surface only, plus the head stock. Does anyone know if the bit of plastic covering half the headstock is glued on, or held on with some kind of clips? I don’t want to do any damage by forcing it. If it’s stuck on, is it tape or glue? Would a heat gun or hairdryer help or damage the paint?  Appreciate any advice.

It’s thoroughly abandoned.

The plastic bit is a painted on cover - you can’t get it off (I tried!!)
