I would buy it as long as it doesn't  go crazy - good way to get a high quality UK made bass at (hopefully) a reasonable price.

It would get a new finish quite quickly

Given that the pink finish looks like icing applied with a knife, stripping back to the wood may reveal something decent underneath. 

If the instrument is kosher, handing the refinish work over to JayDee would be the wise choice.
