  • Big fan of bound necks with dots, so this is good. Not enough to make me want to buy one to match my MJT though.

    These strat/tele hybrids are interesting...

Looks like they're getting rid of small frets and 7.25" radius for good then? Can't say I'm bothered.

Is the Meteora brand new, or does it have a history?

  • My eyes!! That jazz tele is proper fugly
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • Is that range real? Some of those look like an early April fools stunt. The Jazz Tele made me laugh out loud. I'm strangely attracted to the Meteors though. :s

Finally a Tele with a floating vibrato, but they have managed to fuck it up badly. The usual close but no cigar from Fender.

I didn't even spot the Jag/Strat (a bit reminiscent of John Squire's custom one) and JazzTele.

Both a little odd, but I'm glad Fender are trying.

I'm all for new ideas, but these are pretty lazy. Combine one with another. Nope.

The Jazz Tele is actually close to an idea I've had, but I don't like the "Jazzmaster inspired" pickguard. It would have looked better with a Tele Custom shaped guard. I'm also not keen on the bound neck - unlike most, I'm not a fan of bound fingerboards on Fenders.
    Too dear though...

Now, mysteriously missing from their lineup.

Maybe the UGLY things the pickguard shape did to the lower bout of the JaguStrat was a product of my fevered imagination after all...
