Oooh that looks painful  :o Hope it heals soon.

Probably no consolation but you still have more working fingers than Django had ;)
One day I'm going to make a guitar out of butter to experience just how well it actually plays.

Ouch - always wear riggers gloves moving gear. Door-frames eat guitarists' fingers & knuckles !!!!!!
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

This was my left Index finger last summer after they cut out splinters that went deep and got infected.

It's awful when it's an accident and it's preventable but I do feel for you man.
@Bridgehouse can vouch for the sheer frustration I felt after the operation at trying to play the guitar or bass wearing plasters !

Mine took around 8-9 weeks to heal enough to play and another month or two to harden up again.

Also go very careful with rings and necklaces. A few times I nearly lost a finger due to wedding ring getting caught in attic access point when it has got stuck on wood. Just moving day to day stuff.

If you ever see a nail sticking out do nothing more until you have sorted it.

    Yes, it was really tough.
I did what anyone would do in that situation and found a new website to look at non-stop for 9 weeks.
