Stratocaster pickup recommendations

Lollar blackface. Strattiest pickups I've ever heard, though the BKP Mother's Milks are fab too. I replaced some Texas Specials with the Lollars and it was like a different guitar. Never yet heard a Lollar or Fralin pup I disliked

Personally I hated the mothers milks. For me they didn't cut through t he mix in a band situation. Have had loads of strat sets and would say my favourites are bulldog Texas floods, Kent Armstrong tweed tones, bk slow hands. Have an oil city in the neck position of a levinson blade and like that as well. Have had rio grande, tone riders, catswhisker, Lindy fralin, axesrus, di marzio, entwistle, plus some others I've forgotten about and tbh they are all pretty good. Don't feel pressured to go boutique unless there is a specific sound that you want. If you do want to go boutique then all the guys mentioned in the thread are excellent.
