Well, i do have some further info......
 i was just checking in case anyone said Gallan - apparently a previous owner was under the impression that this was/is the brand (Gallan being an obscure-ish Japanese Gibson copy maker from the 70's).

It's an oddity for sure though. It has a name on the body that looks like Culinan, but that might be a red herring. Through neck - tuners, switches and knobs not original:

Presumably as a Gibson copy maker they subscribed to the Epiphone school of headstock accuracy?
