NGD - broke my 3 guitars resolution

I was definitely content with 3 electric guitars, or was I?
I'd played an S2 three years ago in store and it was awesome but I opted for a different guitar with a different neck. The bug had bit though and since then I still felt the itch for a stripped down LPJ or SG vibe but hated the potential compromises and finally chanced upon this ebay bargain.

Itch scratched. Enough waffling

Coolest PRS in my opinion, proper rock n roll.

this is a quality PRS one of the few that have my interest and it's one of the cheapest too, it's a superb guitar, and you've got a great colour too

  • HNGD These Miras look really good. Do they have their own character or would you equate them to an S.G Tone or L.P Tone?

    Just two other questions.

    1. The amp and Cab look lovely, what model are they?

    2. What have you done to the Footswitches on the Rufus and the Skreddy?
Only a Fool Would Say That.

@hootsmon the blackstone is the smoothest amplike drive I've owned. Orange mode is low gain and fairly deep and fat. Red mode is tighter and has zz top gain levels. Fairly compressed and no fizz.

@Bellycaster I'd say its like an SG in ways but stays in tune and feels nicer. Neck dives way less although like an SG the body feels thinnish. Neck is medium on the verge of big sized, rings nicely acoustically and the pickups are perfect out of the box.

1 Thanks amp and cab were built by me. Cab is all pine ply with 2x 10" neo Jensens. Chassis is a Ceriatone Creme Brulee kit with a single 12ax7 pre into two el84s and a proper Matchless output transformer.

2 footswitches are stompers from @CustomPedalBoards site IIRC, a local variant of the barefoot buttons. Nice for stiff switches so they're easier to engage (Rufus) or if you're blessed with clumsy feet ha.

Nice acquisition @Winny_Pooh, I really like the S2 line ups.  I've had a few of them and they feel just like their "core model" counterparts.  Kinda regret getting rid of my S2 Starla.

Nice looking guitar, I’d love to try an S2 Mira, just to see how it measures up against my Mira X.
I did have an S2 Singlecut for a few weeks, but I didn’t like the pickups and machineheads.
