Thanks gents unfortunately this hasn’t moved on from the pictures above I realised I was missing a few parts and spent this weekend building a new kot clone.  

@Philtre I get my envirotex from amazon.  It works out at about £20 but you’ll get a lot of pedals out of that if you’re just coating the tops.  As to what not to do just follow Juan and Cleggys guide and you’ll be golden.

@Adam_MD thanks. What do you use for spatula/stick and cup/container for the Envirotex?

I buy clear plastic cups with lines on them so I can measure out the same quantity of both parts of the epoxy.  You need to do it by volume and not weight as they don’t weigh the same I learned that from a pedal which never fully cured because the propertions were off.  

Make sure you’ve got methylated spirits and paper towels to clear runs and drips.  I also found paper plates are pretty good to work on I just throw them away when I’m done and your table won’t end up covered in old epoxy.

@Adam_MD The link for Envirotex at Amazon is for a supplier in California. Does it take a long time for shipping to UK?

It takes a week or two Phil I just checked and I last bought some on Feb last year so it will last you for quite a while, I’ve finished quite a few pedals with that.  I haven’t found a UK supplier.  There’s probably a UK equivalent for the same thing but I’m used to using envirotex and don’t want to change for something else when I get consistent results with this stuff.

No not yet I’ve been working on the house for the last few weeks and haven’t had time.  I’m hoping to finish it up this week if I get a day free.

The decal on this tape delay is printed on silver paper which gives the purple colour printed over it a nice shimmer.  

@Adam_MD I'm going to give this a try. I have a cheapish Canon Inkjet printer (https://www.printerland.co.uk/Canon-PIXMA-iP3600-P10983.aspx). Do I need a really good quality printer? Would cheaper paper work? Like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Chroma-Self-Adhesive-Inkjet-Premium-130gsm/dp/B004SXWCFQ Anything to be wary of?

@Philtre  sorry Phil I’ve been away for a few days and just saw this.  I just use a regular canon photo printer there’s no need for anything fancy.  Cheaper paper will probably work I’ve only tried 3 makes and the one I linked to you is the one I preferred.

@Adam_MD No worries! Thanks for advice. I reckon it's simply a case of print, stick down and pour over. Do you cover the whole of the top of the enclosure? I suspect using just a small piece of the inkjet paper just would show ridges.

Yup just peel off the backing stick it down and use the shiny side of the backing to rub it flat then pour your envirotex.  Because of the depth of the finish you shouldn’t see any ridges I certainly don’t with mine.
