So, I just fitted a new set of strings and a battery to my Warwick and BOOM! No, it didn't explode, but "that's" where the tone had disappeared to. D'oh!!!

All is now well again in 4-string land, chez Green :)

A new set of strings can make such a difference. In my Warwicks I find if the battery is dying then I just get crackles or a loss of volume.

The strings on my Vigier seem to have died all of a sudden... at least I suspect that's what's happened. Will have to fit the new set, I suppose :))

It was both, old strings and a dead battery = a quiet, lifeless tone. All fixed now, zingy and bouncy again :)
