Why do you ask? I don't know much about them but I'd say it was a Korean Lite Ash Telecaster from a few years ago.

  • Just checked the serial number on Fender site and nothing there and the 2 string trees.

Does indeed look like a Lite Ash model, that’s not a bad price so far

Yep, Lite Ash - overly rounded edge radius, 2 piece birdseye neck with abalone dots, sole "Fender" logo...all check.

The serial number daters don't always work for everything, and a quick google confirms they did indeed have two string trees.

    The guy says:

I can confirm that this is a genuine fender however, I am also aware that there are issues with the korean serial numbers. If you google 'Korean Fender Telecaster serial numbers' there are a number of sites which can help with identification. I hope this helps

A quick response and he has very good feedback, a bit happier about bidding now: )

    Thanks guys!

I've got a black Korean Lite Ashe Tele and the features are correct.
Made by Cort  for Fender iirc.
Very nice guitars for the money and they have a modern wide/flat fingerboard. The SD pickups were stock and sound very nice.
There are a bunch of reviews of this model online and they are predominatly positive, most of the negative ones are from snobs who don't like the non USA or the modern fingerboard compared to the custome shop 52 whatever.
I mainly play my AVRI52 RI these days for Tele duties but haven't sold the Lite Ashe because it's just a great guitar.
At the listed price of £200 thats a belter IMHO. check recent completed online auction sales to get a feel for current prices, they are not uncommon guitars and were the trendy Tele before the Baja models.

Looks bang on for all the reasons I said no to one a few years ago.
Nice that he got straight back to you with a reasonable answer.

    Good luck.

  • Ok guitars, I’d rather a higher end squire though.

I had the Strat version but didnt like the flatter fretboard. The guitar felt a bit dead considering the SD pickups.

OP, one thing I would say is that you posted earlier about wanting lighter guitars, "Lite ash" can be a bit of a misnomer.  ;)

Uhmmm... it's really difficult, I've become interested in guitars at a late stage(ish) in life which is rather odd as I've always loved guitar based music. I think I'm beginning to understand what GAS is. Realistically I need to think about my health/body and keeping a healthy interest going: )
