PRS modcats help

Can anybody help work out what part of these numbers and letters I use? 1275799 is the serial from the headstock.

serial number should be 125799 not 1275799 as noted above - think it will have a 7 before that as well to indicate 2007

None of that info is applicable to the modcat code - do you have the swing tag or indeed is the bar code label still on the case - both will have the modcat code letters if you have them - Should start with an H for Hollowbody

Hi, @guitars4you , the hang tag says, "125799 gen-h12-pnz." Nothing else. Forgive my typo above. Nothing on the case other than a replacement sticker, from what I can gather (by that I mean for resale).

that info is not the modcat code - do you have a pic of the hang tag - need to see the bar code and letters below

It’s pretty weird I thought the modcat was always on the neck pickup route?  It’s been there on every prs I’ve owned.

everything looks genuine so no issue on that score but totally unsure why they have used such a code - a) it does not get recognized on the PRS decoder and b) it doesn't have the info I've seen on so many other guitars

so a) what do you need to know and b) send the serial number to PRS USA Customer service and see what they have to say about it - they are normally quick on replies  custserv@prsguitars.com  make sure you include the serial number
