"Chapman Guitars" pickups?

What's Hot

Does anyone know exactly what they are? So far I have just seen the generic Korean G&B pickups rebranded "Chapman" with exciting sounding names like 'Guitarnivore' not giving away much about their specification.

The new Chapman British Standard line have Chapman Guitars pickups described as hand-wound. There's precious little else to go on for a customer to make an informed choice.

G&B can and do supply OEM pickups to whatever spec the customer requests.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

I’d just email Andertons and ask em direct. Its weird they dont put every little spec up about stuff. I know I would if I was selling my own guitars.. everyone loves specs!

The G&B pickups that came in my PRS SE are great.

On one hand I think Chapman are naming OEM pickups to make them seem fancy.

On the other, maybe that's just what all the big pickup makers do.

Us humans really fall for branding.

I have G&B pickups in my LTDs and they are great too.

I was mainly curious about the new Standard hand wound pickups' specification. Enquiring minds got to know.

G&B pickups tend to be wound specifically for manufacturers.

When I visited World Guitars in Korea (builders of PRS SE, LTD and Chapman) they had boxes of them, all labeled specifically for brands and models.
    Never Ever Bloody Anything Ever.

Are these available to buy yet and is the spec available to view including who manufactures pickups etc? If not, I’d guess there’ll be a big reveal andertons video at some point. I can’t fathom why people are getting so hot under the collar and making assumptions. Must be the Chappers effect.

I think the logo is quite discreet and classic, obvously sound and quality and the main factors. They need to ditch the daft names ASAP.

When did you visit World Guitars?  Did you write up a specific thread about it?  Seems like it would be fascinating insight.
