It's a TruOil finished light relic Cabronita. 
Guitar build body
Baja neck
Filtertron pickup 

I need to fettle the wiring, but it works (after a fashion)! 
I need a pickguard, strap buttons & jack plate but it's done enough that I felt like sharing.

Nice work - that looks great.       I have the matching body but changed my mind about the neck I had in mind so need to source another and decide on a colour.   

Were you not tempted to leave more grain showing and have a trans finish?

I WAS tempted to leave more grain showing, but the grain on this body wasn't particularly interesting.

I wouldn't bother with a pickguard - looks great without it.

But then I would say that - I didn't fit one to my Cabronita build!

Nice, agree that it would look good with a white guard.
I used this http://axecaster.co.uk/blog/?p=503  for the wiring in my Cabronita build (has std Filtertron's like yours) and it's definitely more versatile with it.

I completed it last night. 
Considering that it's mainly made of second hand bits & things from my parts box I'm pretty pleased with the result. 
The Baja neck is REALLY nice.
