C18Q1 - Cabronita Build

So I set myself a challenge to use the Q1 challenge as impetus to finish a partscaster that's been taking too long to put together, and rather lazily haven't posted any progress pics. Anyhow it's just about finished.

It's a Guitarbuild body, finished with Tru-Oil and Bri Wax. Lovely grain, which is what attracted me to it.

It's fitted with a TV Jones can't-remember-which-tron and some quality wiring / pots. It sounds ace, lots of balls and clarity at the same time.

The neck is from Musikraft  and is FAT - a full 1 inch this all the way along. I'm loving this neck - it's like the Allparts TMO-FAT but slightly more comfortable, plus it came in a slick satin finish, with none of the razor sharp fret ends you get on Allparts necks.

Graphtech nut which I cut myself, an eBay pick guard and a cover for the wiring cavity which I made from an old acoustic which I lovingly dismantled in this thread: http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/108954/my-first-amateur-luthier-video-removing-a-guitar-back#latest

The bridge is a Wilkinson one. I've top loaded the strings for now. I was doing this as I hadn't bought any ferrules and was just fitting strings to adjust the neck, but it sounds so lovely, and the strings are so easy to bend (which I'm guessing is to do with the slightly smaller break angle), I may just leave it like this.  Tuners are Wilkinson Kluson copies and are decent.

Anyhow, on with the pics:
