AC30 tb6 advice

I've owned a few AC30s and yes dirt pedals don't like the bright channel...you need to use that cut control to make 'em useable IMO....and the new AC30s post Marshall are all quite a bit brighter sounding on the normal channel. Still fairly dark but the AC30/6 on the normal channel with say my PRS was like a really dark jazz tone. Horrible by itself for most purposes..but stick a treble booster in front and that was then your "top boost" as it not only drove the amp a lot harder it cleaned up all that "wooliness" that is the normal channel. The channel that made the AC30 a legend was in 99.9% of cases the brilliant channel. Marry an AC30 normal channel with a treble booster and its great...without one unless you want a dark jazz type tone don't bother!
