Fender AV Hardware Plating

Hi

Does anyone know whether the Fender American Vintage 52 Telecaster hardware is nickel or chrome plated?

Cheers

In the name of vintage accuracy, it should be a mixture. Nickel on the Klusons. Chrome on everything else.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

^ Agreed although I think (almost) all the screws are nickel plated too.

  • Thanks for the replies, I wasn't aware that vintage-correct was a mix of nickel and chrome... I thought it was all nickel. Cheers!

Nacho Baños - author of "The Blackguard" - agrees with you.

Apparently, the strap buttons were nickel plated.

The book omits to mention the plating material on the round string retainer.
