looking to sell my very rare fender custom shop custom Telecaster relic. It’s incredibly beautiful and the flame on the neck is amazing!

Its available for cash on Collection from Bideford Devon or can be shipped for £30 fully insured by UPS. Will be well packed and boxed

Awesome and extremely rare Fender Telecaster Custom 1960 Relic made in the Fender Custom Shop 2005. All original, Bound Alder body in a stunning 3 colour Sunburst with an incredible highly figured AAA flame maple neck. 

Seymour Duncan 59 humbucker in the neck position and tele single coil in the bridge both sound fantastic. The tele is very resonate and plays very easily I would describe the neck profile as a very comfortable U shape not as large as some Nocaster necks I have owned and played in the past but definitely has some nice size to it that also adds to the tone. Newly strung with Elixir gauge 10s.

Some nice light factory relic work and vintage patina on this guitar including lacquer checking. Excellent factory relic condition throughout having had only very light home use, hardly any fret wear. Comes with original fender tweed hard case in good condition (some general light storage marks to the outside) and certificate of authenticity.

I am not 100% sure I think It was possibly a custom order and can’t find one with the same spec online but from comparing it to my rosewood board CS strat the frets are slightly smaller and the radius also looks a little rounder. I would guess it has vintage style fret wire and a 7.25 inch radius.
It also has a very comfortable chunky neck another rare feature for a 60s spec guitar.

lovely guitar.....never seen a headstock logo like that with the 'custom telecaster' under Fender. Is that what you get when its a specific CS build?

Thanks for the lovely comments, Custom Telecaster is acutely the model and denotes for the double cream binding you would mostly see these with a rosewood fretboard. With the maple it’s very Andy summers.

Hi,
I contacted fender to get confirmation on the specs as some people were asking. I can now comfirm that the neck is a 52 U shape with 7.25 inch radius and vintage style fret wire. It’s very comfortable to play and although there is some decent size to the neck it’s definitely a little easier to handle than some of huge early 50 tele reissue and nocaster necks I have tried in the past.

Yeah without knowing the specs I thought it was a large C shape with a very slight V in the low fret chord area, it’s a joy to play I unfortunately just perfer strats.
