    @Alnico Cheers,  +1 for that. I've gotta get some! Obviously cannot remove pitted corrosion if years and years of 'rust' but good to keep on top/prevent that state?

    Yes, of course you're right but assuming it's not plated metal, the pitting can be removed abrasively and then this used as a final polishing creme.
    If you or anyone wants advice on metal polishing in general, I spent the best part of 20 years rebuilding and restoring classic and custom motorcycles and I know a fair bit about it all.

    I use this stuff:

    Same as Gorgomyte but a tenth of the price and you get to feel like you've gone back in time to the 60s.
