A couple of years ago I was looking on the agency site at the tribute acts and right down at the bottom, way below the bazillions of Robbies, Beatles, and Elvis acts, way below the tons of Oasis lookie-likeies, was a solitary Joy Division tribute who had not notched up a single booking.

I thought of several ways to interpret it -- was it something to do with the inherent inauthenticity of tributes and the lack of interest in a bogus facsimile of a band which once demanded existential engagement? 
Or was it just a shit business choice?
